Aluminium Windows - Frequently Asked Questions

What are typical aluminium window prices?

It is impossible to give a typical cost for aluminium windows due to the difference in size, colour and installation type. We are happy to visit, measure and provide a free no obligation quotation.

Aluminium vs UPVC windows, what’s the difference?

Due to aluminium being a stronger material than uPVC it allows the use of a thinner frame section giving more glass area. Although aluminium is often more expensive than it’s UPVC counterpart, it is usually the go-to particularly for commercial aluminium windows within Heritage buildings which previously used steel.

How long does it take to fit an aluminium window?

This can vary given the size and design of the said window but typically we would install 2 – 3 aluminium windows per working day.

How to look after aluminium windows?

A simple wipe with warm soapy water to the framework and glass/mirror cleaner for the glass. As with any moving components hinges and lock systems should have a drop of oil/grease once a year to keep them in good working order.

What colours do aluminium windows come in?

As standard we offer our aluminium products in White, Black, Grey and brown but due to aluminium being a powder coated product you have the option of choosing any RAL colour meaning potentially hundreds of colour options. Non standard colours are subject to a surcharge and longer lead time. Our standard colours are available for both internal and external finish or dual colour. EG. Grey external with a white finish internally.
